Favorite American Idol Performances

Hey guys! so...as all of you know (lol) American Idol is starting up January 12th...and being the crazy idol FANATIC that I am (I once made a 45 slide powerpoint presentation on the first 3 seasons) I wanted to go through the first 8 seasons and pick out my favorite performance from each. THIS WAS VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME, BUT I WILL LIMIT MYSELF TO 1 PER SEASON. For copyright stuff, I can't post the videos here, but just search them on youtube!

Season 1: Tamyra Gray: "A House Is Not A Home"

Tamyra should have won...jussayin...I love me some oldschool Kelly, but girl needs to pull her shit together and pump out another record like THANKFUL! UGH

Season 2: Clay Aiken: "Bridge Over Trouble Waters"

Season 2 was tough for me because I loved Clay, Kimberley Locke, and Trenyce...but I think this performance won by a slight margin.

Season 3: Diana Degarmo: "Don't Cry Out Loud" (5/14/04 performance)

The last note and key change she does in this performance are AMAZING...I'm so sad that her cd was tragic

Season 4: Vonzell Solomon: "I Have Nothing"

Throw a Diva with a Whitney song and I can't resist...this was probably the best version of the song ever performed on idol! Second best would have to be Trenyce's then JHud's.

Season 5: Katharine Mcphee: "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" (Top 2 performance NOT Finale)

This performance was flawless...Taylor NEVER should have won...especially after this...UGH (I'm not still mad or anything...)

Season 6: Jordin Sparks: "I Who Have Nothing" (first performance)

Jordin is my all-time fave idol...she was SUPERB compared to the other contestants...the only other person that had a chance was Blake Lewis so thank gucci he got runner-up

Season 7: David Archuleta: "Imagine"

I'm not a fan of this song...but he made me like it for this performance...I hate that he is so young...he makes me jealous. ps...for the most part I wasn't a fan of the people in this season

Season 8: Adam Lambert: "Mad World"

All of Adam's performances were shockingly good compared to the other contestants...it wasn't until late in the competition that people started to somewhat compete with him...idk why he lost...

So OVERALL, my favorite idol performance EVER is Katharine's "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Runner-up to that is "I Who Have Nothing" by Jordin. Both of these performances were on such a different level than the other contestants at the time and there was no doubt in my mind that these would be my faves for those seasons.

What were your favorite performances?? Do you agree with any of mine??

ps. some other performances I liked are:
- Kimberley Locke - Where the Boys Are
- Anwar Robinson - Moonriver
- Syesha - I Will Always Love You
- Kelly Clarkson - Natural Woman
- Anthony Federov - I Surrender
- Melinda Doolittle - Home

Top 25

So I was going through my itunes and thought it'd be fun to post my top 25 most played songs!!!! Ok so I have major song ADD...if you ask any of my friends they know that I change the song like 1.5 minutes into it...so my play counts suck for songs that have really long endings and are in general pretty low...but anyway...here they are!!

1. Keeps Gettin' Better - Christina Aguilera - 181
2. Migrate - Mariah Carey - 165
3. When I Grow Up - PCD - 131 (I have a live version of this that has 64 playcounts so it is REALLY my most played)
4. Circus - Britney Spears - 126
5. Mannequin - Britney Spears - 124
6. Whatever You Like - Nicole Scherzinger - 124
7. Puakenikeni - Nicole Scherzinger - 115
8. Bottle Pop - PCD - 114
9. Whine Up - Kat Deluna - 112
10. Dynamite - Christina Aguilera - 108 (ugh this should not be here)
11. When the Bass Drops - Jupiter Rising - 100
12. If You Seek Amy - Britney Spears - 96
13. Magic - PCD - 87
14. Break The Ice - Britney Spears - 85
15. Kill the Lights - Britney Spears - 83
16. Shy Boy - Jordin Sparks - 80
17. Shattered Glass - Britney Spears - 78
18. 3 - Britney Spears - 77
19. Fabulous - HSM 2 - 76
20. I Stay In Love - Mariah Carey - 74
21. Do Somethin' - Britney Spears - 72
22. See You Again - Miley Cyrus - 72
23. Whatchamacallit - PCD - 69
24. Mile In These Shoes - J-Lo - 68
25. Intro (B2B) - Christina Aguilera - 67

So............I have a TON of Britney and PCD in there..but that's only because I didn't know you had to listen to the WHOLE song to get a playcount before Fall 08...so before that I would change the song before it ended...

Are any of these in your top most played?!?!

789 (7/10/09)

Friday was a little more eventful. I think we (Sam, Andy, Tom, Jess and myself) woke up around 10 and left to head to Columbus circle for 12. Nobody was really there so we left to go shopping :) We hit up 5th ave., didn't really buy anything though. Wow this blog is turning out to be quite lame. I thought I would have more to write about...but anyway...we ate at Rockefeller and decided to hit up SoHo before we met the other youtubers at 6 pm. I have to say Top Man is a very interesting store. I either liked their sstuff a lot or HATED it with a passion. I can't really see myself wearing too much of it though. I bought a v-neck at uniqlo and 2 trunks at Top Man. That was the extent of my purchases for the weekend. It was really sad that I didn't buy more, but I always feel that since we have most of the stores back home I can just buy it there. We also hit up Magnolia and I watched as Tom ate his cupcakes...I can't have them cuz I'm allergic to peanuts :( We ended up filming a lot down in SoHo so look forward too MANY videos from this weekend. This blog is a mess...I'm over it.

Later at night we ate at TGI Friday's which was insanely expensive...never eat IN times square...after that we met up with Michael (hartzproductions) and headed to the Belvedere to hang out with thewillofdc's fan club ;) I think we ended up goign to bed at like 4 am...oh well...I barely slept at all the whole weekend...

ok! continue reading for THE BIG DAY!!!!

TV recaps and fatness@!@!

You dont get a video today cuz youtube is down and I can't look in my favorites...so we will pretend the video of martha stewart this morning counts...

I filmed the rest of my pet peeves video today so it should be up as soon as youtube is back working. It is 8 minutes long and is quite boring compared to my other videoss so I kind of don't want to post it. I really need to start another channel where I just post crappy videos all the time...

Also, I just got tagged my talltom14 to do a cranberry juice fat flush!! I will be doing that tomorrow night through Friday night! I'm so excited!@! ahhhhh

This is a picture of one of those games that you see on myspace...I particularly liked this one LOL...if you can't read it...it says "tickle the fat kid till he barfs"...let's just say I won

Tonight I watched ANTM and Project Runway. The only girl who is actually pretty on ANTM is Sam but she doesn't have the best pictures all the time. All the other girls look decent with all that makeup on and after editing, but otherwise they are fug... SPOILER: I am very shocked that Clark got kicked out since Josyln's has not had a good photo in WEEKS...

As for project runway...The challenge that they had was to create a gown that was based on a plant they took a picture of. This could have been a very creative task, but I was surprised by the simplicity of their dresses. Even though there was a lot of detail there just didn't seem to be unique shapes like a plant would have. SPOILERS: I am very surprised that Jerell actually won because the bottom of his dress looked tragic. I really liked Korto's dress and everything she has done so far for the most part. Her pieces are very different which make her very interesting. As for who went home...well let's not discuss that...

I missed JDMA last night because my oxygen channel was not coming in for some reason. It was so tragic and depressing. But luckily it is working today and a re-run is on at 11!

So today in spanish class we started watching this movie on euthanasia. It's quite depressing and I am very surprised a profesor would show it. The movie is called Mar Adentro and is about this quadriplegic who doesn't see the point in living anymore. We only got through 20 minutes of the movie so that's about all I know. lol I also had my geography ish quiz today which ended up sucking. The profesor doesn't use the book at all so I am so mad I had to spend $120 on it.

That's all!!
